Michelin Key Award winner on Santorini's black sand beach
Location
Istoria is a 12-suite retreat set directly on Perivolos Beach, one of Santorini's black sand shores. Each suite comes with a king-size bed, a private terrace, and many offer outdoor hot tubs, private pools, or panoramic sea views. Guests get complimentary sunbeds and service on the hotel's private beach area, steps from the lobby.
Dining
Mr. E Restaurant serves modern Mediterranean cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, using locally sourced ingredients in its à-la-carte breakfast. The pool bar and snack bar offer signature cocktails and light meals throughout the day. A personalised breakfast dining experience is included, with fresh lemonade and nightly refreshments provided in-room.
Wellness & Spa
The Serene Elios Spa offers organic treatments, body scrubs, facials, and massages that integrate local natural resources. A hot tub/Jacuzzi, fitness/spa locker rooms, and a spa lounge/relaxation area are available for guest use. Yoga sessions and holistic treatment packages round out the wellness offerings.
Points of Interest
The hotel sits on the quieter east side of Santorini, a 12-km drive from Santorini (Thira) Airport and 11 km from Athinios port. Guests can explore the Ancient Thera ruins, the Art Space Santorini museum, and the Akrotiri archaeological site. An airport shuttle and car rental service are provided by the hotel.
Services
The 24-hour front desk offers concierge service, currency exchange, express check-in/check-out, and tour desk assistance. A large main pool with artisan tile work and a sunken bar is open seasonally, with pool towels and sun loungers provided. The adults-only property is soundproofed and includes a designated smoking area, plus nightly turndown with chocolates.
